About us and our activities
Friends of the Alexander Technique is a Denmark-based network of people with an interest in the Alexander Technique. The network is organised by enthusiasts, for enthusiasts, on a not-for profit basis. We run a free emailing list, that you are invited to join, providing information on our upcoming events.
Most of our activities take place in North Jutland, Denmark, where we invite exceptional teachers of the Alexander Technique to offer both individual lessons and group workshops. Most of our members are from this area, but there are people on the mailing list from all over Denmark and as far away as Iceland.
One to one lessons offer the most intensive and individually tailored experience of the Alexander Technique, whilst workshops can illustrate particular aspects of the work, and offer an opportunity to meet other people interested in the Alexander Technique. Recent workshops themes have included breathing, stress management and voice work.
Our mailing list represents people from all walks of life — including musicians, teachers, students, medical doctors, and therapists — and with widely differing experience of the Alexander Technique, from beginners to qualified Alexander teachers.
